While cell phones seem to have shortened the distance between us, as you can reach the friends or relatives you want to talk to just by making a phone call, and as you do not have wait even one minute to hear the voices on the other half of the globe, many people are complaining that cell phones have become a form of restriction for them.

In old days, messages were passed at a much slower speed. When people could only write to each other with paper and ink, they often did not expect hearing from their friends within several days. Even after telephone has been invented, people could only make phone calls when they were at home or in a telephone box in the street. And who says that was not a kind of freedom? After mobile phones came to our life, we seem to be dramatically available all the time at any places.

Working force often complain that they get phone calls between their work, so they have to stop working and pick up a new topic with the caller. For people of special occupation, like writers and artists, random cell phone calls can even be a nightmare which interrupts their imagination and inspiration.

Besides, the noise of mobile phone rings can also be annoying when mobile phones are so common found in the street. In the bus or underground system, napping people often get waken up with a start by sudden cell phone rings of other passengers. In cafes and bookstores, all customers may be bothered by cell phone rings from a careless person. When people are talking loudly on the phone in public places, they are in fact annoying others. Instead, doing marathon talk on the phone at home seems to be much more comfortable and liberate.

Furthermore, as people get much more phone calls with their cell phones every day, their phone fees are much higher involuntarily. Businessmen cannot avoid receiving phone calls at night when they are home or on weekends, while they actually are unwilling to pay for those phone bills but do not want to miss the trade. Office workers are much lazier with cell phones that they would rather make a phone call to the person upstairs, than spend two minutes to walk the stairs.

In a word, cell phones do make our life faster and hastier. Anyhow, leave a space to yourself and to other people, do not get asphyxiated by such a modern technology.
